Big Shunt 2

Last Thursday night saw the end of the big shunt to get Sans Pareil out of the workshop and put the steam crane in. Here’s 03 090 about to pull a set of wagons out to allow access to the workshop road.

The track recording car NEPTUNE blinks in the light as it is shunted out into the yard after the wagons.

Road 5 takes on a different look with the wagons outside and their place taken by the Wickham trolley, Simplex, Hunslet 3183, Peckett “Merlin”, “Cornwall” and “Woolmer”.

Having been stabled outside whilst the workshop road 7 was emptied, the North Staffs tank, Ruston 88DS and LMS Crab are brought back inside by 663, the Dutch shunter.

As darkness falls, this is the new line up inside the museum, although the snowplough has since been replaced in front of the Crab, having overnighted on the front of Green Arrow (a picture I missed!)
